VENUE: Lucas Artists Programs Commons
It has been 3 years since the San Jose Climate Clock Initiative posted a call for ideas.
After over 50 submissions we narrowed it down to three fabulous teams from around the globe to come up with one of the biggest challenges in art today.
What is it?The Climate Clock will be a work of landmark art that incorporates Silicon Valley’s measurement, data management, and communications technologies to help people understand climate change while encouraging them to continue reducing their carbon footprint on planet Earth.
After a three month residency and 1.5 years to finalize a proof of concept, we welcome you to hear the final presentation from all three teams:
- TEAM ORGANOGRAPH: Chico MacMurtrie, Geo Homsy, Bill Washabaugh
- TEAM GREENMEME: Freya Bardell, Brian Howe, Brent Bucknum
- TEAM SILENT RUNNING: Rob Davis, Caroline Lewis and Usman Haque
Refreshments will be served.
